The Aqeedah of the True Salaf As SalihoonAl Hamdulillahi Rabbil 'Aalameen. Was Salaatu was Salaamu 'alaa Sayyidil Mursaleen. Sayyidinaa wa Mawlaanaa Muhammadiw Wa 'alaa Aalihi wa Sahbihi ajma'een. Birahmatika Yaa Arhamar Rahimeen. Amma ba'dAll Praise is for Allah the Lord of all the worlds. And Blessings and Peace be on the Leader of all the Messengers. Our Leader and Our Master Muhammad and on his Family and his Companions all of them with mercy O Most Merciful of those who show mercy. As for what follows... "Al Imaan consists of affirmation by the tongue and acceptance by the heart. And the whole of what is proven by The Prophet [Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim] regarding the Shari'a and the explanation [of the Qur'an and of Islam] is true. Belief is, at base the same for everyone, but the superiority of some over others in it is due to their fear and awareness of Allah, their opposition to their [lower] desires, and their choosing what is more pleasing to Allah. All the believers are Friends of Allah [Awliyaa] and the noblest of them in the sight of Allah are those who are most obedient and who closely follow the Qur'an. Belief consists of belief in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and belief that the Decree--both the good of it and the bad of it, the sweet of it and the bitter of it--is all from Allah". Imaam Abu Jaafar Al Waraaq al Tahaawi al Hanafi Rahmatullah Alaih [239-321 A.H.] The Most important aspect of the Believers Deeni existance in this world and the Hereafter is living Islam according to Correct Islamic practices and proper Aqeedah. Without correct Islamic Beliefs [aqeedah] one is not in fact a Muslim. It is not enough to simply have been born into a muslim family or to affirm the acceptance of Islam by the tongue [Shahaadah] or to say that we are Ahl as Sunnah and Ahl al Qiblah while flaunting incorrect beliefs and practices, and rejecting correct aqeedah and Islamic practices. The most important aspect of Iman is recognizing Allahu ta 'ala as He is with all His Names and Attributes and accepting all of His injunction, accepting this in our Hearts and testifying to this with the tongue.
