- THE EVOLUTION DECEIT -5 - The Religion of EvolutionThe Theory of evolution’s hegemony over media which was mentioned in the previous chapter is in reality a sole extension of theory of evolution’s hegemony over the scientific world. Those forces having a deep influence over media, no doubt, adopt theory of evolution as an essential necessity of their own ideological preferences and accordingly propagate the theory; yet, it is impossible to accomplish their objectives without the support offered by those fervent scientists who also have devoted all their efforts to evolution. In other words, the social power making the theory of evolution so influential over the public is media, where else those supporting the media with the comments and "scientific data" are the evolutionist scientists. Is evolution a theory, a system, or a hypothesis? It is much more- it is a general postulate to which all theories, all hypotheses, all systems must henceforth bow and which they must satisfy in order to be thinkable and true. Evolution is a light which illuminates all facts, In brief, media and academicians, appointed as the two main means of "cultural hegemony" excellently accomplish their respective duties. But why is the theory of evolution so popular among scientists, especially among the biologists? In the first part of the book, we analysed in depth that there exists not even one concrete evidence proving the theory of evolution. On the contrary, we concluded that all living things with the characteristics they have, refute the theory. In this case, the key question of "how the majority of scientists still remain as fervent supporters of evolution" arises. The underlying mentality that provides an answer to the above question is found in the articles and books written by evolutionist scientists. The mentality in question takes evolution not as a theory that could be verified or refuted, but as a belief (faith) that should be adhered no matter how corrupted it is. To have a look at a few examples regarding the above statement would reveal that this belief in reality turned out to be the "Darwinist Religion". The Prejudice Requisite for ScienceîIn 1981, the British Museum of Natural History located in greater London’s South Kensington district opened a new exhibition on Darwin’s theory. A sign on the entrance of the exhibit, which displayed all arguments and so called ‘evidences’ put forward since Darwin, read as follows:Have you ever wondered why there are so many different kinds of living things?Another message written next to the above quotation was as follows: "Another view is that God created all living things perfect and unchanging." A brochure also included similar assertions. In brief, the general tenor of the exhibition, in Philip E. Johnson’s words, was that "Darwinism is an important theory but not something which it is unreasonable to doubt." In other words, the exhibition in the British Museum was in a deliberate effort to use a "democratic" and objective style to assume an attitude which is neither in favour with Darwinism nor anti-Darwinism. Naturally such an approach was expected not to disturb anybody. Yet the facts proved to be otherwise. First, evolutionist scientists from England and then some others from western countries, reacted furiously to the "objective" attitude of British Museum. Many editorials in Nature critiqued the bigotry of National Museum. An editorial in Nature titled "Darwin’s Death in South Kensington" was especially interesting. The editorial speculated that the exhibition must have been designed by someone not in close contact with the museum’s scientific staff, because most of those distinguished biologists "would rather lose their right hands than begin a sentence with the phrase ‘If the theory of evolution is true’. At this point we have to ask the question "Why?". That is because modern science is defined as a research method that is observable, measurable and repeatable which arrives conclusions about the validity of a theory only after basing its argument upon concrete data. Yet according to the editorial in Nature-and all other advocates of Darwinism - evolution should be kept away from "agnosticism" (systematic scepticism). The article ended with the following words: "Agnosticism" (about the absolute truth of scientific theories) should not be ‘carried out too far’ to avoid demoralising scientists. Although conceding that prejudice was in general to be avoided Nature insisted that ‘one prejudice is allowable, even necessary- the preconception that theories can be constructed to account for all observable phenomena."This explanation solely means that one should not be sceptical about "theories developed by scientists that explain everything". Otherwise they become "demoralised" and lose their motivation to foster science. The natural consequence of this psychological attachment was the following: Those scientists who accept evolution and adopt this theory as a "theory that explains everything" believed it as a theory deriving its power from concrete data. Furthermore, the scientists wanted to make comments about the prejudice in a way to support the gathered concrete data. Therefore in Dierre Teilhard de Chardin’s words, they defined evolution as "a light which illuminates all facts, a trajectory which all lines of thought must follow". If these prejudices are not respected, then they would all become "demoralised". That is because this would mean the loss of basic principles to which they have developed a certain psychological attachment. In brief, theory of evolution was the religion of the scientists in question. If you ever attempt to question this religion for which they have placed their faith under the name of "science", they would reject it outright. Therefore they would never express their doubts about evolution which is a clear indication of their attachment to theory of evolution. What is more, they were very insistent to make the whole society adopt Darwinist religion they have faith in. For this reason, Anthony Flew, a philosopher renowned for defending Darwinism, explained the whole episode as a breach of trust by "civil servants" (i.e. the Museum’s scientists) who had a duty to present the established truth rather than to confuse the public with unorthodox opinions. Evolutionary PaganismThe fact that evolutionists consider theory of evolution- and in fact generally the concept of science- as a religion is no doubt their own choice. Some of the people believe in Providential religions revealed to them by their own Creators. Others, on the other hand, adhere to religions originated by themselves or the societies they live in; some worship totems as a god, some pray to sun and some seek aid in "UFO". This second group is referred in Koran as those who serve to others apart from God. In the western literature, however, they are named as "pagans".Evolution is one of those non-Providential pagan religions cited in the second group. No doubt, those who believe in this religion have the right to maintain their faith in evolution. Yet, just as how a sun worshipper can not be deterred from it , an adherent to evolution can not be detained from his faith by force. The duty of a person who believes in Providential religions is only to call the pagans to this holy religion. Yet, the choice always rests with the person himself. However, there is one important feature of evolutionist pagans; they never accept the fact that what they have faith in, is a religion. They also assume themselves to be the representative of a "supra religion", with the aid of the attraction the concept of scientific fact gained in our modern age. The majority of people in the modern society are under the influence of this hoax. These deceitful claims of evolutionists put them to an imaginary position among other religions: Science for them is the realm of objective knowledge, religion is a matter of subjective belief". Furthermore, assuming an imaginary authority over followers of other religions, they call them to adhere to Darwinism. According to an evolutionist argument if other religions accept evolution and its concepts -in other words of socio-political aspects related to it - then they would be set free to survive as a "moral teaching". George Gaylord Simpson, one of the prominent Neo-Darwinists explained the matter: Of course there are some beliefs still current, labelled as religions and involved in religious emotions, that are flatly incompatible with evolution. Nevertheless, I take it as now self-evident, requiring no further special discussion, that evolution and true religion are compatible. These statements mean that evolution and "scientific teachings related to it have the authority to judge other religions. The decision regarding which one of these religions or their comments can be accepted as the "actual religion" rests with evolutionary science. At this point. What is meant by "actual religion" is a moral teaching that solely sets moral rules of conduct among people which, by no means, brings any explanation about the universe we live in. In this respect, regarding the observable universe -namely positive sciences, economy, politics, law etc.- will be led by modern science based on Darwinist thought. Yet as indicated above evolutionist science is a pagan religion. In other words, we are "endowed" with the opportunity to set our moral criteria according to Divine provisions. Yet we are forced to perceive the whole world according to the rules of the pagan religion and lead our lives accordingly. In the meantime we have to emphasises a particular point; The pagan belief called the "evolutionist science" is an abstract concept, which is supported by particular powers. Their intention is to make this abstract concept be accepted by all human beings all over the world. It is not difficult to understand what they try to achieve with this goal; since they are the ones setting the commandments of this religion, adherence to it would only make their socio-political power to flourish. At this point we are again talking about the New Secular Order and the centres of power behind it. The power behind the evolutionary paganism try to impose its beliefs to public through totalitarian methods. This is a phenomena frequently seen in history. The most striking example regarding pagan totalitarianism is told in Koran: Pharaoh of the ancient Egypt addresses to his people as follows: "Pharaoh said: "I but point out to you that which I see (myself); Non do I guide you but to the Path of Right!" (Al-Ghafir (The Forgiver (God) ) 29) The totalitarian approach mentioned above imposes the theory of evolution as a proved fact to societies while keeping the scientific circles under pressure. The majority of modern biologists have faith in this pagan religion. The remaining minority who do not share this belief are forced to do so. Within this system, evolution turned out to be a taboo. Those scientists who reject evolution lose all their chances to pursue their carrier in the world of science. The famous anatomy professor Thomas Dwight describes this situation as an "intellectual dictatorship": "The extent of the despotic rule of dictatorship established by evolution can not even be imagined by ordinary people. It not only has influence on our pattern of thought but also exerts pressure similar to those applied by terrorist systems. I wonder how many of the leaders of the world of science can speak out their inner thoughts."These words also reveal the fact that an "Inquisitorial" system was established by evolution which is a religion in itself. Evolutionary HumanismIn the previous section we have stated that evolution is a religion. Yet adherents of evolution deny this fact and avoid to speak out about this religion. Yet there are also those who violate this general rule of keeping it as a secret and openly announce the truth about evolution. That is to say they state expressly that evolution is a religion.Julian Huxley and Theodosius Dobzhonsky are the two famous names who overtly speak about evolution and call people to this pagan religion. Julian Huxley, one of the prominent advocates of Darwin, made an all-out effort to base Darwin’s biological argument on a philosophical ground and founded a new religion called "Evolutionary humanism" which offered humanity the "sacred duty" and "glorious opportunity" of seeking to promote the maximum fulfilment of the evolutionary process on earth This could not be limited to the efforts put forth to make strong organisms live longer and develop systems to make then have more off-springs. Evolutionary humanism targeted "natural skills of human beings "to evolve into its best stage. In other words the main purpose was to make human beings reach an advanced stage of physical and mental competence. Huxley defined the term "humanism" as follows: I use the word "humanist" to mean someone who believes that man is just as much a natural phenomenon as an animal or plant; that his body, mind and soul were not supernaturally created but are products of evolution, and that he is not under the control or guidance of any supernatural being or beings, but has to rely on himself and his own powers.Deeply influenced by Huxley, John Dewey, an American philosopher, developed Huxley’s pattern of thought and launched the movement of "Religious Humanism" in 1933 and issued the famous Humanist Manifesto. In the Manifesto, it was declared that it was time to abolish Providential religions; human beings were about to enter a new age based on scientific development and social co-operation. Fifty million people who were killed as a consequence of the "scientific development" during the World War the Second provided a stunning realisation of some of mankind’s inherent possibilities and made people lose confidence in optimism foreseen in the Humanist Manifesto. Dewey’s successors felt the necessity to revise his thoughts and issued the second Humanist Manifesto in 1973. The revised manifesto makes some unenthusiastic concessions to reality, such as that "Science has sometimes brought evil instead of good" and "Traditional religions are surely not the only obstacle to human progress." The overall message is as before. It is that salvation comes through science: "Using technology wisely, we can control our environment, conquer poverty, markedly reduce disease, extend our life-span, significantly modify our behaviour, alter the course of human evolution and cultural development, unlock vast new powers, and provide humankind with unparalleled opportunity for achieving an abundant and meaningful life."These thoughts consciously or unconsciously adopted by all evolutionists reveal the basic beliefs of the "Darwinist evolution". They actually try to adopt the concept of evolution they have in their mind to nature and base their explanations on subjective comments and distortions. They finally conclude that the sole goal of human beings is to have a more rapidly growing evolutionary process. This is the only way that would bring salvation to human beings. It is evident that in this process a thought originated by human beings become the sacred duty and meaning of life. Firstly, an imaginary process of evolution is considered to exist and then it is assumed to be the "creator" of everything. It is also supposed that the same process will bring salvation to human beings the final sacred duty of the adherents of this pagan religion is to serve to this process. In brief, evolution is the creator, the saviour and the holy aim. In other words, it is a god worshipped . When analysed closely it is clearly seen that the religions of evolution preserve the basic absurdity of traditional pagan religions. The god worshipped is first created by human beings and then the same god is considered to be the creator of human beings . There is essentially no difference between evolutionists and those ancient pagans who create their own totems and then believe that those totems keep nature under their control: Adherents of the Darwinist religion who theoretically formulate the concept of evolution consider it as a power creating them and the whole universe and state that their sacred duty is to serve evolution. When evolution is questioned, evolutionists show a furious reaction. That is because preserving their religion is more important above everything. That is why evolutionist biologists state "only one prejudice is a requisite, and it is evolution" while they emphasise the importance of not having any prejudices in science. At this point a question remains unanswered. We have just stated that evolutionists aim to serve to the religion of evolution; yet what is the purpose of this pagan religion? Evolutionists devote themselves to the Darwinist evolution; Yet what is the mission of Darwinist religion? Mission of the Darwinist Religion"Negativism" is an important feature of pagan religions emphasised in Koran. What is meant by "negativism" is that these religions are not independent teachings that have developed their own particular disciplines of study to support the guidance they offer, but a "contra-religion" put forth to fill the gap of Providential religions. Each one of the pagan religions exists as a negative force, in an effort to provide an alternative to the Providential religion. In Koran news about the people of Saba worshipping sun, is given to Prophet Solomon by a "messenger" he sent: "I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides God: Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path- so they receive no guidance-; that they should not worship God, who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what you hide and what you reveal." (Al Naml (The Ants) 27)The purpose of existence for the type of pagan religion adhered by the people of Saba is not to praise the idol of that religion (in this case ‘the sun’). Satan who imposed this religion upon the people of Saba used such a method to detain them from worshipping God. Satan is also aware that the sun is not an idol to worship. This clarification is valid for all pagan religions, as well as the Darwinist religion offered to the people of the world as a modern version of paganism. Evolution is not propagated because its believers are requested to be in the service of evolution. This is also not conceivable since it is not possible to talk about the existence of an "evolutionary process". The purpose is to make people believe that they worship a real god by using this pagan religion and to detain them from worshipping the real God. Likewise, the distinguished ideologists of the Darwinist religion consider Darwinism as an antidote to religious beliefs. American social scientist Irwing Kristol emphasises this particular feature of evolution and states that neo-Darwinism as currently taught incorporates ‘an ideological bias against religious belief’. American professor of law Philip E. Johnson makes the best summary about the subject: The leaders of science see themselves as locked in a desperate battle against religious fundamentalists, a label which they tend to apply broadly to anyone who believes in a Creator who plays an active role in worldly affairs… As the creation myth of scientific naturalism, Darwinism plays an indispensable ideological role in the war against fundamentalism. For that reason, the scientific organizations are devoted to protecting Darwinism rather than testing it, and the rules of scientific investigation have been shaped to help them succeed. The main purpose of evolution is to inject people the conviction that man is not created by a Divine Power and consequently he should not feel responsible to any Divine Rule. An evolutionist "scientist" describes the sense of irresponsibility of man due to lack of supervision upon him: He (man) stands alone in the universe, a unique product of a long, unconscious, impersonal, material process, with unique understanding and potentialities. These he owes to no one but himself, and it is to himself that he is responsible. He is not the creature of uncontrollable and indeterminable forces, but his own master. He can and must decide and manage his own destiny. Now let us compare the conviction given in the statements above with the Koranís way of thinking. The comparison verifies the fact that evolution stands as a negative force against Koran: "Does Man think that he will be left uncontrolled (without purpose)? Those who are brainwashed under the negative inspirations of the Darwinist Religion became equipped with every sorts of ideological shields against the messages of the Providential religion. No matter how many evidences are provided to prove the invalidity of their religion, these people never lose their faith in this pagan religion. They each become a ‘bigot’ expressly depicted in the following verse: "Even if they see all the signs, they will not believe in them; and if they see the way of right conduct, they will not adopt it as the way." (Al-Araf (The Heights) 146)The following quotation taken from a prominent Turkish evolutionist biologist is an excellent example enabling us to understand the mentality underlying evolution. In his book Kalitim ve Evrim (Genetics and Evolution) Prof. Dr. Ali Demirsoy tries to prove that God did not cause all living things to come into being in furtherance of a purpose. Yet in the section of molecular evolution he is urged to confess that formation of a new protein can not be explained by coincidences. However, rather than accepting the existence of "Supernatural Forces" (he refers to God), he states that accepting this impossible coincidence is more "scientific". "The probability of forming a sequence consisting a Cytochrome-C (the enzyme essential for formation of life) is practically zero. In other words, if life demands a particular sequence, then the probability to form this sequence the whole universe is almost zero. Or, some supernatural forces that we can not define became involved is this process. Accepting the latter does not serve to scientific purposes. Therefore we have to concentrate on the first assumption." According to Ali Demirsoy’s mentality there exists a "scientific duty". This purpose, for whatever reason, urges the denial of creation. Demirsoy prefers to believing in coincidences having almost zero probability rather than accepting the creation by a Divine Creator. Demirsoy also expresses how untrue this assumption is which he accepts only because it is more convenient for the "scientific duty". "The probability of achieving to form a particular amino acid sequence of Cytochrome-C is as low as the probability of a monkey writing the history of humanity on a typewriter without making any mistakes-keeping in mind that the monkey presses the keys randomly." The term "Scientific Duty" in Demirsoy’s statements is significant. In fact this term is an straightforward expression of the negative pagan mentality that we talked about in the preceding pages. That is because the "scientific duty" foresees the rejection of Providential Religions. Consequently the "scientific duty " requires more clarification. The
term "scientific duty" implies here the "type of science" aiming to oppose
the Providential Religion. Being a part of modern science, theory of evolution
is in fact a component of the New Secular Order. The Darwinist religion,
on the other hand, is a derivative version of " The Religion of Science"
laying the basis for modern science.
