Hijab

Several years ago my friend Um Ibrahim and I went to the bank to cash a check. She covers her face fully, I did not at that time. I only wore jilbab and hijab. So there we were, in my local branch, Um Ibrahim 8 months pregnant, with her 6 kids and me with my 4 (the youngest just two months old and in a stroller). The kids got scared because there started to be quite a number of police outside the bank (it was in the mall). The manager, who was a lady I know, called me to one side. She asked me, "Why is your friend covering her face?" I told her that it was her custom to do so. She promptly called in a police officer and told him it was okay and that they could leave. I asked her what she meant and she told me "I thought your friend was going to rob the bank so I called them to be ready". I could not believe my ears!!! Two women, one 8 months pregnant and 10 kids were going to rob the bank!!!!!How did they think we were going to get away??? on skateboards???
