As salaamu alaikum:
As we draw nearer to the 75th anniversary of the destruction of
the Khilafah, may Allah bless the organizations and individuals
who have signed on to the following communique and may they be
inspired towards more acts of conviction and courage in making
even further strides towards Iqamaatul Deen. Ameen.
Not since the murderous campaign of Ibn Wahhab and the treasonist
treachery of Mustafa Kemal has one risen from amongst our midst
that is as dangerous to the safety and well-being of Muslims as
this man Hisham Kabbani. He is a munafiq and a Sambo of the highest
order. Therefore let it be known that on this day the recipient
for the esteemed Sambo of the year award goes to none other than
the one who is most deserving of it....Mr. Hisham Kabbani.
SAMBO defined ("Sam's
boy" as in Uncle Sam/US Government)
Meritorious manumission was the legal act of freeing a slave for
good deeds as defined by the national public policy. Meritorious
manumission could be granted to a slave who distinguished himself
by saving the life of the white master, inventing a new medicine
or SNITCHING [emphasis mine] on fellow slaves. This was a destructive
weapon in the slave holder's arsenal, and a powerful component
of the PUBLIC POLICY. The importance that whites placed on black
informants is emphatically demonstrated by a rare monument that
the town of Harper's Ferry erected to honor Hayward Sheppard,
a black man, who was killed by the totally committed abolitionist
John Brown and his raiding party shortly before the beginning
of the Civil War.
Hayward Sheppard was shot dead by John Brown's party when he recognized John Brown and attempted to warn the town that they were there to free slaves. In grateful recognition for placing the economic interest of the slave holders above the freedom of his own people, the town erected the only monument honoring a black man who could appropriately be described as a "SAMBO". Since the black Civil Rights Movement of the late 1960s, the statue has been stored beside the city's major museum and covered with a wooden box.

MAJOR MUSLIM ORGANIZATIONS CONDEMN
KABBANI'S STATEMENTS
American Muslim leaders demand
retraction and apology
It is with heavy hearts that we, the undersigned national American
Muslim
organizations, feel compelled to defend our community and its
representatives from false and defamatory allegations.
In a January 7, 1999, presentation to a State Department Open
Forum, Mr.
Hisham Kabbani, Chairman of the self-styled "Islamic Supreme
Council of
America," made a number of unsubstantiated allegations that
could have a
profoundly negative impact on ordinary American Muslims.
In the State Department forum, Mr. Kabbani:
1) Alleged that the "ideology of extremism has been spread
to eighty
percent of the [American] Muslim population." Having also
stated that
"extremists" gained control of American mosques through
elections, Mr.
Kabbani further strengthens the impression that the Muslim community
as a
whole is extremist.
2) Claimed that "there are many, many Muslim organizations,
that they speak
on behalf of the Muslim community, but in reality they are not
moderate,
but they are extremist...These people are very well supported,
very well
affiliated with outside regimes, that they have been sponsored
by billions
of dollars to be active within the United States..."
3) Claiming that the main national Muslim student organization
is "being
run mostly by extremist ideology," Mr. Kabbani raised the
bizarre specter
that the Bin Laden organization was "able to buy more than
20 atomic
weapons, atomic nuclear heads, from some Mafias in the ex-Soviet
Union...and now they are hiring thousands of scientists from the
ex-Soviet
in order to make these atomic warheads into smaller partitions,
smaller
particles, in order to be, like small chips to be put in any suit
case,
even in a handbag, and be shipped anyplace, anywhere in the world...If
these small nuclear atomic warheads reach these (U.S.) universities,
you
don't know, these students, what they are going to do, because
their way of
thinking is brainwashed and limited."
Adding insult to injury, Mr. Kabbani even promoted and generalized
an
allegation that Muslim women in Europe "who are during the
day, covered
from top to bottom and, during the night, have dates. They are
dating high
officials in many countries around the world to take the information
from
them and to give it to the extremists."
Through outrageous statements such as these, Mr. Kabbani has put
the entire
American Muslim community under unjustified suspicion. In effect,
Mr.
Kabbani is telling government officials that the majority of American
Muslims pose a danger to our society. Additionally, Islamophobic
individuals and groups may use these statements as an excuse to
commit hate
crimes against Muslims of the kind witnessed following the bombing
of the
Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City when Muslim-bashers,
Steven
Emerson and others, offered similarly unsubstantiated claims that
Muslims
were behind the attack.
We therefore ask Mr. Kabbani to promptly and publicly retract
his
statements, to apologize to the American Muslim community, and
to exert his
utmost effort to undo the damage these statements have done.
The issue is not that of a mere difference of opinion within an
American
religious community, but involves the irresponsible act of providing
false
information to government officials. This false information can
jeopardize
the safety and well being of our community and hurt America itself
by
damaging its values of inclusiveness, fairness, and liberty.

As salaamu alaikum
Many (myself included) have, in the past,
been fooled specifically, by the so-called Islamic Revolution
in Iran and generally by the Shia fighters' zeal for jihad against
the Zionists at times when others seemed bent on capitulation
and entering into illegal treaty agreements. The wise ones, however,
have not been fooled or taken in by these exploits.
In a courageous and historic khutbah delivered in Masjid Nabawi,
15th Dhu-l-Qadah, 1418 Hijri/ 13th March 1998 Shaykh Ali Abd-ur-Rahmaan
al-Hudhaifee, Imaam of Masjid Nabawi warned about the dangers
of the current normalization of relations between the Saudi and
Iranian regimes. He was very specific in his criticism of the
Rawaafidh Shia. I say specifically Rawaafidh because in his khutbah,
the Shaykh was specific; and because the deviancy that he so clearly
illustrated as the belief and practices of the Rawaafidh does
not translate to all branches of Shia.
Shaykh al-Hudahaifee's khutbah was timely because it came on the heels of the visit to Haramain by Khatami, the Iranian President. The Shaykh did not mention the plight of the Ahlus Sunnah in Iran [see www.ummah.net/albayan/sunniran for article on mistreatment of Sunni in Iran]. Why he didn't is anyone's guess. Why Shaykh Bin Baz or any of the Saudi court scholars aren't more vocal about the situation in Iran is also quite interesting. Recent reports indicate that the Saudi regime will once again play host to Khatami in March. The plight of Sunni Muslims in Iran should be a priority. It won't be because al-Saud has no interest in the lives of the common muslim unless that muslim is serving the selfish interests of al-Saud.
Given the prevailing attitudes of the Saudi monarchy one can suspect that the Saudi regime is comfortable with the situation in Iran. What is feared most by this monarchy which lacks the skills to manage its civic affairs and the courage to defend itself, is Islamic Movement. Two different scenarios could result from raising awareness of the conditions of Ahlus Sunnah in Iran. Neither will bid well for the Saudi monarchy.
(One)
The persecuted Sunni Muslims could be persuaded to make hijrah
from Dar ul Kufr (Iran). In which case, the Saudi regime could
be pressured to relax its kufr immigration policy and open its
borders to thousands of the muhajireen. It is a matter of record
that the monarchy lived in fear of the battle-tested mujahideen
who returned from Afghanistan and Bosnia so much that they resorted
to persecuting them with imprisonment and torture. They will
certainly regard as suspect, those muhajireen who have seen and
experienced Revolution (albeit a limited one) and the defeat of
a Shah regime that in many respects mirrors the hypocrisy and
moral excesses of the Saudi regime.
(Two)
Any Movement whose mission is to rid the Ummah of deviants can
not (and most likely will not) stop once the Shia are exposed
and subdued. The Movement then progresses and sets its sights
on those who have deviated from al-Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet
Muhammad (saaws) by adopting kingship and parliament over khalifah.
Democracy and dictatorship over mashura. Nationalism over pan-Islamism.
Unfortunately, the organizations of today that take, as their
mission, the exposing of Shia as deviants and kaffirs, tend to
be one dimensional. As such, they are basically ignored by most,
(al-Saud notwithstanding), because they pose no real threat to
those who usurp the soverignty that belongs to Allah alone. Shaykh
al-Hudhaifee's khutbah was courageous because it went beyond the
call to expose and condemn the deviant Rawaafidh Shia, it struck
a blow to the deviancy of the Saudi regime and was a symbolic
nod of approval for the mission of Mujahid Ossama Bin Laden. The
Saudi regime moved to censure and ultimately arrested the Shaykh.
Allahu Alim. It's likely that the support of the so-called Crown
Prince, and other influential members of the House of Saud saved
the Shaykh from further persecution.
" Thus now when the Jews and Christians have set up military bases in and all around Arabia, it has become a Fard upon the Muslims to act upon the last order of RasoolulLah SallalLahu `Alayhi Wasallam and expel them from the Arab lands." ---Shaykh Ali Abd-ur-Rahmaan al-Hudhaifee
